Gas Extraction
The gas extraction process begins with a 3-foot wide, stainless steel well. Vacuum pressure is used to draw gas, or methane, from waste decomposition into the well, through small, 6-inch openings. Each well uses a highly engineered filtration process to prevent liquids or solids from entering the well. Once captured, the gas is routed through a series of pipes to a flare system.
